Health students present community wellbeing research at regional conference

Students on health and social care programmes at University Campus Oldham presented research on community wellbeing at a regional higher education conference, alongside academics from partner universities.

The project examined barriers to accessing health services among underserved groups in Oldham and neighbouring boroughs. Working under academic supervision, students designed surveys, conducted interviews and analysed data using established research frameworks.

Findings will inform a briefing paper shared with local health partners and may contribute to future placement opportunities with community organisations. The research activity forms part of UCO's broader commitment to scholarship that benefits the communities we serve.
