Governance
UCO operates within the governance framework of Oldham College, with oversight from the Corporation (Governing Body) and academic boards responsible for higher education quality.
Governing Body
The Corporation provides strategic direction, approves the mission and monitors financial sustainability. Governors include independent members with expertise in education, finance, law and community representation.
Academic oversight
The UCO Academic Board reviews curriculum proposals, student outcomes and quality assurance processes. Validation partners conduct periodic review of programmes to ensure academic standards align with UK higher education frameworks.
Regulatory compliance
As a higher education provider, UCO complies with Office for Students registration requirements, including access and participation reporting, student protection arrangements and public information duties.
