PGCE cohort achieves strong employment outcomes in further education sector

Graduates from the most recent PGCE Lifelong Learning cohort at University Campus Oldham have secured teaching roles across further education colleges, training providers and adult education settings throughout the North West.

The programme combines academic study with structured teaching practice, preparing graduates for professional registration and employment in the post-compulsory sector. Tutors work closely with placement mentors to ensure trainees develop inclusive teaching strategies and robust assessment practice.

Course leader for Teacher Education said: "Our trainees leave ready to make a difference in classrooms and workshops. Employment outcomes reflect the quality of placement partnerships we maintain across Greater Manchester."

Applications for the next PGCE intake remain open. Information sessions for in-service and pre-service routes are scheduled throughout the autumn.
